The Link Between Energy Efficiency and National Security (Energy Sense Podcast)

The founder of the Veterans Advanced Energy Project, Dan Misch, joined Chris Rawlings, CEO of VeteranLED and host of the Energy Source Podcast, for a conversation about his transition from the US Navy into the advanced energy industry and why clean energy is a good fit for military veterans.

“A lot of veterans are coming out of the service looking for ways to continue protecting the country and seeking service-oriented, mission-driven careers, and clean energy — and energy in general — really gives you that opportunity because it is the backbone of our economy and the strength of our nation,” Misch says. “The transition was very difficult for me. I would encourage if someone knows they’re getting out to start thinking hard about what they’re going to do or want to do. Energy is a no-brainer place to seek a career because there are parallels for nearly every active duty job out there.”
